Featuring the two handsome boys – Yandao & Lengzai with Roots Technologies Products.

The boys’ Roots Technologies journey begins with the highly-raved Tonic Spray which almost is a herbal-ish “cure-all” which you’ll probably have heard about from your friends.

For me, I absolutely love the smell and the effects, but the boys get super overwhelmed by it – which I will explain later in this post.

After having such amazing results with their Tonic Spray, I was obviously ecstatic to receive more Roots Technologies all-natural products for the boys to try out!

[How-to] Making Bone Broth & Vegetable Purée for your Furkid in Singapore

0 No tags Permalink

So you’ve heard that this is the good stuff which your dogs would totally love? Or maybe you’ve heard that Bone Broth is packed with so much nutrients and yum?

Okay, you’ve came to the right place!

A very delightful Lengzai the Husky who loves greens, and a sceptical Yandao the Spitz wondering why the veggie purée smells of meat. 🍖🌿

Some say that our beloved pet dogs are descendants from their wolf ancestors – thus they’re a 100% carnivorous and do not need vegetables in their diet. They also believe that meats alone are sufficient to provide a full range of nutrients that dogs need.

Well, unfortunately, I’m one of those who believe otherwise. I think that a little bit of fiber and nutrients from greens do play a huge part in my furkids’ diets…. and I’m ready to put it to the test!

For me, I started the 2 furry boys on their raw diet with just a pure protein base. This consists of meat, bones, offals and some bits of liver. 🐮🐔🐑🐟

Humans have nacho + salsa dips – but Lengzai has dehydrated duck + veggie dip!

Later on, I realised from trial-and-error (honestly, just a lot of meal adjustments and monitoring smelly poo-outputs) that just proteins alone doesn’t provide the two boys with a balanced diet.

This prompted me to experiment with adding a bit of greens in their daily meals. Oh mine! The results were almost instant – better absorption, much more constant poo and the two furry boys were super energetic through the day. 🌿

Well, I’m not here to advocate the pros and cons of vegetables for dogs. For those who are interested, you can always Google for more information before you decide whether to give your dogs greens!

..I’m here to show you how to make bone broth with veggie puree for your dogs!

How to Raw-feed Your Dogs in Singapore

8 No tags Permalink

The two boys are now always looking forward to their meals! 🥣

I often receive questions regarding Yandao‘s and Lengzai‘s raw diet whenever I post up photos of their yummy platters.

But, first things first – I’m no expert i this as I’m still learning every day, just like you.

This post is not here to convince you nor educate you on the suitability of introducing raw-diet for your pets. Of course, different dogs have significantly different preferences and requirements for their meals. Also, there are plenty of much better articles out there to address the concerns of raw-feeding.

Majority of the dogs I’ve come across fall in love raw diet from the very first introduction – but not all of them do.

This post is pretty much just MY point of view and how I prepare raw ingredients for my two boys. Please, consult your vet or relevant canine dietary experts if you have any doubts!

Kohepets x YandaoTheSpitz

Not too long ago, I was actually shopping at one of the well-known pet “megamarts” in Singapore with my little Japanese Spitz, Yandao, like most other fur-parents. No doubt the shopping part was fun, but alas, the carrying of dog food, together with huge, bulky accessories proved really painful… especially when you’re not driving!

Enter Kohepets

I came to know about them just a few days back, and wow, did they have the largest inventory I’ve even seen in an online pet store.

True, they’re not the *only* online pet store in Singapore, but I dare say they have the widest variety of products and arguably amazing prices. Plus, their free delivery quota is only $60!! I don’t really think its feasible for a pet store to ask for a minimum of $200 unless you’re stocking up daily staples such as food(kibbles?) and pee-pads(if your little furry ones do it indoors), etc.

You know especially… on some of the days when you’re a good mood to spend a little extra cash out of the sudden or feel like getting little surprise for your furkid(s). Or else it’s kinda a challenge to “hit” when you’re just trying some stuffs. ?

Those of you who know me would actually know that I *love* shopping – but hate all the hassle of carrying loads of stuff back home. I mean, don’t we all?

..and, the best part was, they’re *all* about the freebies. You know how it gets awkward at the pet shop counter when you have to point and ask for a specific “free” item? Not anymore! There’s basically a whole section of freebies which you can grab all you want from in Kohepets, too!

I placed my order, and waited 2 days... and as promised, a package with enough goodies to spoil Yandao for a while arrived!
